$WHATS Privacy
$WHATS Privacy brings private transfers to the chat: send value to a WhatsApp number without the amount or the link between sender and receiver being visible on the public chain.
What it hides
- Amount — encrypted; only sender and receiver can read it.
- Counterparties — a transfer into the shielded pool and a transfer out are not linkable on-chain.
- Balances — your shielded balance lives in notes only your Whats wallet can decrypt.
What it does not hide
- The WhatsApp message itself — Meta still sees that two numbers exchanged messages with Whats.
- Entering and leaving the shielded pool (the shield / unshield transactions) are visible, with their amounts.
How it will work
A zero-knowledge shielded pool on Robinhood Chain holds USDG, ETH and selected tokens. shield 100 usdg moves funds in; private sends move value between notes inside the pool with a proof instead of a public transfer; unshield brings funds back to your normal balance. Proofs are generated on Whats' servers for your wallet and never contain your key.
$WHATS
Private transfers pay a small fee in $WHATS, the token launched on Robinhood Chain (0x0D0A…74d1). Holding $WHATS reduces the fee; fees collected are used to fund proof generation and buy back the token. Details will be published before the release.
